| Just before Christmas we got very nice news from Ulla and
Iiris, Baskethill`s Ivory And Ebony. Iiris
gained her Working Champion title from tracking. Iris` title is the second for ess in Finland ( Fi Kva-J & Fi Jva!). Huge congratulations to Ulla, you have done so great work with your Iiris. Thank you for that and we wish you many nice years in your tracking career. I think apple hasn`t dropped very far from Saimi:) |

The season ended as usual to the annual Winner dog Show-09 and this time also on Sunday Nordic Winner Show-09. These two days passed very quickly. We came to Helsinki on Friday and left after Sunday`s show. The weekend was very nice and we had so much fun with our team! It was very nice to see Katya and her mother, unfortunately Saima wasn`t with them because of her seasons. Good luck Katya for your great plans:). Our little Aurora was in her season too and it was a little difficult for the boys travelling with us. Both of our girls, Elli and Aurora were entered to working class. Elli showed her best side on both days. She was moving nicely and was in a very good show mood. On Saturday Elli, Baskethill`s Jolly Jumper got EXC3 and on Sunday she went second with excellent. Congratulations to Liisa, you have done very good work with your Elli:). And our Aurora, a little princess, was 4th best bitch on both days in a very tough competitions. We spent a great time in the shows and enjoyed very good meals in our hotell. Thank you all for your great company in the ringside and special thanks to Jenni-Mari, Kirsi, Paula and Nina and naturally Liisa and Johanna. Huge congratulations to Tarja and AnnSofie for your great results:))

One and half weeks ago Pihla and I took part in agility competition on Sunday 29.11.09 and we got very good results. We took part in two basic starts C and D. From C-track Pihla got 0-fault points and time was 8 second under the ideal time. She came second in that start .From D-track she got 5 fault points, 10 second under the ideal time and she was 3rd. Only one more 0-track is needed to move her up to the Maxi 2 class:). It was already so close this time:)). Thank you Jenni-Mari for cheering us! |

We had a wonderful show trip to Jyväskylä. Nina, Jenni-Mari and I with Lulu, Eddie and Aurora started our drive at about 7.00 am. The drive to Jyväskylä went very nicely but in the show place we had difficulties finding a parking spot. After all we got a very good place near by the doors:)). The day was a quite long but it was all worth while. Our young members Lulu and Eddie were first in ring and both did it very well. Lulu aka Glamorly Gasablanca was 4th best bitch and Eddie came second in his class with excellent. Congratulations and biiig hugs to youngsters` breeder Antti and owners Nina and Jenni-Mari for so excellent start in the show world. Aurora was In the next ring and she was entered in working class same as Elli aka Baskethill`s Jolly Jumper. Both girls got excellent and it was so nice to see that Elli made a good impression over all. What did our sweet Aurora? She won all the girls and ended up BOB:). BOS was also Pablo`s boy Fanwans Belive My Dad and 3rd best bitch was Pablo`s son`s daughter same as best puppy. It was a nice day for Pablo also! And I am very proud of our little girl Aurora!

On Sunday we got nice visters Marjo with Anna, Baskethill`s Jet Set Beauty. Firstly we trimmed her a little bit and then ofcours took some photos. One of the pics is above. Anna is developed very nicely and looks so great:). After these photos we took a walking trip around the forest with Marjo, Anna, Aurora and I. Congratulations to Wiljami`s aka Adamant`s Take It Easy breeder Tarja and owner Marja for C.I.B and Est Ch titles to Wiljami. He is first of Pablo`s offspring whose got C.I.B title and he got it at the same place in Tarto as his father a few years ago. Wiljami was BOB on both days and got two Cacibs too. Pablo is very proud of that as we all:) |

Last weekend we spent, Aurora and I, two nice days at Tuija`s and Risto`s place. We took two long walks on Saturday in Korpisalo and on Sunday around Petonen area. This weekend was really nice with delicious meals and a very good chating company. Thanks a lot again to all of you especially boys Juha-Pekka and Tom, and Aurora says thank you Sawanne for your playing company:) |

We started our journey very early in Saturday morning. Kirsi and Jenni-Mari with Eddie came 6 am to us and from here we continued to Seinäjoki. In the parking area we met Antti and Pamela and we try to find a little place for our boxes. The judge came from Sweden and she is the breeder of famous Barecho kennel. First was Iiro`s, Baskethill`s Ironside Brave big champion class. Iiro got excellent but he wasn`t placed and he wasn`t in his best show mood. Next was our Aurora`s intermediate class and Aurora got excellent too and was 4th. The other Saimi`s girls were Elli and Lara in working class. Lara aka Baskethill`s Jersey Lily won that class with excellent, later on she got resCC and Elli, Baskethill`s Jolly Jumper didn`t show her best side in the ring and got vg2. The day was very enjoyable and it was nice to chat with the others. Thank you Kirsi, Jenni-Mari, Paula and Antti for your company. Huge congratulations to Tarja with little Doris and AnnSofie and Susanne ladies from kennel High Score, you all had a really nice day:)

Weekend 17. - 18.10.09

Last weekend Pihla and I took part in agility competition. We had 4-starts, A and B on Saturday and C and D on Sunday. Saturday`s B-track was jumping track and all the others were basic ones. From two of our starts, A and D, we got 5 fault points and we were 7th in both race. I´m so happy that our time went under the ideal time on both tracks. But these two, B and C, race the length track was our stumbling block:) and of course it was my fault. Both A and D competitions were a very big groups. In A-track there were 31 entries and D-track 28! I`m a very satisfied with these four starts and our Pihla was a very skillful agility-spaniel girl:). Our weekend was really nice and thank you all for your support and good adviced. |

In this photo you saw two mushroomers, Liisa and I with they dogs Elli and Aurora. The weather was really nice and we got quite a lot of mushrooms. Thanks a lot of your company Liisa and Elli. I think that Elli and Aurora enjoyed to help us for mushrooming:)) Our surprising couple Katya`s and Saima`s news:). Katya was in a World Dog Show-09 in Bratislava, Slovenia with Saima, Baskethill`s Jewel For You. She came 2nd in the intermediate class with excellent and resCC. Super hugs to both of you from all of us at Baskethill`s. |

On Saturday Aurora and I had a nice tour in Rokua. The weather was perfect same as our company. We went hiking on the so called "Keisarinkierros"-route up and down the hills of Rokua. The whole route is about 21 kilometers long. Thank you Maiju for arranging this nice happening and I hope we will do it again next year) . Some health news!

Elli, Baskethill`s Jolly Jumper and Liisa spent last Saturday in Ähtäri in an events for young dogs to test their hunting skills. The events was for dogs born in 2008. The judge was Ari Metsäranta and Elli made it through very well with Liisa. This pair got a very nice evaluation indeed:) Thank you Liisa for your very nice and excellent work with your Elli! You are a magnificent team:) During this week we got very nice health results. Two of our J-pups X-ray results were confermed. Julius, Baskethill`s Jimmy-The-One and our Aurora aka Baskethill`s Jubilee Blossom both have A-A hips:) |

We, Pihla Baskethill`s Irish Blossom and I, spent a very nice Sunday morning in an agility competition. We had two starts, first one was jumping track and second one was basic track.On the jumping track she was 14th out of 22 competitors and she did the basic track without any faults and was class winner. Unfortunately our time went 2 second over ideal time. This morning was really nice with the other competitors and huge thanks to Kirsi from these pics and for treating a cup of coffee and your very nice chating company. Now wake up Kirsi and do the next competition with me and Pihla as planned. I think Jeffe would like it very much and you too:) Early on Friday morning Marjo and Anna came to us and we went to see vet. These two sisters, Anna and Aurora, took x-rayed and also they eyes were examined . Now three (Julius aka Baskethill`s Jimmy-The-One, Anna aka Baskethill`s Jet Set Beauty and Aurora aka Baskethill`s Jubilee Blossom) of our J-pups have been examined and all these youngsters` eyes are clear. From hips we will hear later after the official statement. Thank you Marjo for your lovely company during this trilling visit to the vet. And last but certainly not least our tracking princess Elli aka Baskethill`s Jolly Jumper took part in a tracking competition in Rovaniemi. It was 3rd time in open class and what results :)! She was second in open class with very high points 47/50! Huge congratulations and biiig hugs to clever Elli and skillful Liisa:)

Yesterday ( 05.09.09 ) we started our agility career. It was a really exciting day for me and Pihla too:) We took part in first class including basic and jumping track. The very first competition went unbelievably well. Pihla didn`t do any mistakes and time was 3 second under the ideal time and she was the class winner. Next start was jumping track and we got 10 fault points and Pihla was 5th in this class, the 3rd got same fault points than Pihla but the time was faster. That Saturday morning was really nice and all other competitors were really nice. Thank you for all the congratulations and thank you Tiina for you help:) |

Two of Pablo`s Adamant puppies have received they champion title. Lady, Adamant`s Take This Dance took part in field trial test during last weekend (22.8.09) in Rovaniemi and passed it. Eku, Adamant`s Take Your Dream was BOS (29.8.09) and got his last CC in Härmä. Both of these siblings are now Fi Champions. Congratulations to breeder Tarja and both siblings` owners. The youngest Pablo`s puppy, Lo`cust Born My Sound has passed her field trial test just 10 months old! Congratulations to the breeder Tuija and Maisa`s owners. We are very proud of Pablo`s progeny. Oldest pyppies are now 3 and half years and youngest are 10 months. Our Russian princess Saima, Baskethill`s Jewel To You, was at an Int. Dog Show (30.8.09) in Pskov. As always they did it with a very good result. Saima got CC, Cacib and was BOB, judge was Galina Todorova, Bulgaria. Saima and Katya were on a holiday here in northern part of Finland.They visited in Rovaniemi and Kuusamo and liked the scenery very much and Katya took over 300 pics from her journey:). It was pleasure to hear that you like these places and warmest congratulations for your great win again:) |

Our J-pups were busy during this weekend. On Saturday it was a field trial test in Rovaniemi and Anna and Kaapo took part in that test. There were two judges and Risto Janné evaluate these two youngster. I was the other judge in that test. Anna with Marjo and Kaapo with Hanna did very good job. They managed this test very well and the judge adviced them to dry tracking and hunting !:) Huge congratulations to all girls and handsom Kaapo. Now from our J-pups 6 from 8 have passed the field trial test. Thank you all our puppies` active owners:)) Elli and Liisa took part on tracking

What about the weather then: it wasn`t least raining all the time:) It was Saimi`s and Pablo`s a family meeting with girls, Lara, Elli, Aurora and only Julius representing the boys. It was a really nice to get these pics of that show. Thank you Hannu for these:) First of all was Julius in the ring and he did it well with Laura. Julius won his class and ended up as 3rd best male with resCC. Next were Pablo`s and Iiro`s turn to go to ring. This time Iiro was first and got as far as BOB and Pablo was placed 4th in best male ring. Well don all our boys:) Lara aka Baskethill`s Jersey Lily took part in junior class with style. She won it with excellent, was 4th best bitch and got her first resCC. Next was Aurora`s intermediate class and she was first and became 3rd best bitch and got her 6th CC:)) Elli wasn`t in her best show mood that day and she got VG3. Last but not least was Saimi`s turn. She got excellent in her class but wasn`t placed in best bitch class. We introduced our breeders class too and it was 2nd with HP. Thank you all for participating in this show. There were also Iiro, Julius and Elli with their owners. The weather was really cold and windy.....brrr but results were very nice indeed. I went to show place from parking place a little bit slower than usual. I had my cart full of things and our Klaara was looking aroud just like Alice in Wonderland and young Aurora bounced all over in my other hand. It was a quite long way.... First was Julius in junior class and he did it very well with Laura. Julius won that class and was 2nd best male just befor his daddy:)). It was Julius` first CC and Pablo got resCacib. The winner was Sanna`s Terry again. Iiro was 3rd in champion class with VG, he wasn`t in his best show mood in Kokkola. Next class was bitches` intermediate class and it was second time for our Aurora in that class. She got excellent and was first best of the four, Elli was 4th with VG. Our veteran Klaara was a little too heavy to our judge`s liking, perhaps we, Klaara and I, will start counting weight watchers points:) Klaara got VG3 after two ladies in veteran class. Best bitch class was a quite big and the winner was Sanna`s veteran bitch Julia and second was our Aurora. She got her 2nd cacib and 6th CC. Our breeders group consisted of Julius, Klaara, Aurora and Elli and it was BOB. Unfortunately we have no photo from our group and we hadn`t to chance to stay for the big ring. Congratulations to Sanna, you had a really great day although you had to drive quite a long way:) Our J-puppies have done a really great work. They will be 16 months next Friday and they have got already: 12 CC, 4 cacib, 9 resCC, 7 BOB, 5 BOS, RUS Ch & JRus Ch, 4 of them have passed the field trial test and so one. I`m so grateful to our puppy owners, than you:) You find every single J-puppies achievement here.

Yesterday, I and Aurora came home from Kuopio. We spent very nice two days with Tuija, Juha-Pekka and Tom and four legs girls Nukka and Sawanne. The weather was perfect, sun was shinning and mild wind was blowing. Just perfect to sit and chat and admire Tuija`s and Risto`s beautiful garden. As always I must look what I eat after these two days because of Tuija`s delicious meals. Thank you again for your great hospitality and we`ll see you soon. Aurora was quite tired after that visit:)) And really nice news from St.Petersburg. Saima was in the ring again on Sunday. It was the second show of the so called "White - Nights" Show 27. - 28.6.09. From Saturday`s Show I told already and this photo below was taken on Sunday. Saturday`s judge was Rita Kadike-Skadina from Latvia and on Sunday the judge was Ludmila Nikitina from Russia. Saima got excellent, was best bitch and got 3rd CC, 2nd Cacib and she got her champion title:) Now she is Rus Ch, JRus Ch Baskethill`s Jewel To You, unbelievable couple Katya and Saima. Huge congratulations and hugs to both of you:) Also congratulations to Marjukka whose male (Gorse Billy Budd) was BOS on Saturday and BOB on Sunday.
